About Our Appointment System...
Appointments are normally for ten minutes and surgeries run from 8.00 am to 7.30 pm on Monday, 8.00 am to 6.30 pm Tuesday to Friday, and 8.00 to 10.00 am on Saturday (routine booked appointments only) subject to availability. Emergency appointments (those booked on the day) may be for five minutes, Monday to Friday.
People who need an urgent appointment will get an appointment within 48 hours with the Duty Team, Monday to Friday.
If you wish to see a doctor, please make a routine appointment with the receptionists. Routine appointments are usually available within five working days. You may have to wait longer to see your usual doctor.
The telephone lines are quieter after 10.30 am for the arrangement of routine appointments.
We are open from 8.00 to 10.00 am on Saturday for pre-bookable routine appointments only. If you need to see a GP urgently during this time or when we are closed, please ring 111, or in an emergency 999.
Improving access to general practice: evening and weekend appointments now available
Patients who are registered at this practice can book an appointment to see a GP or nurse on Monday evenings (between 6.30pm and 7.30pm) and on Saturday mornings from 8.00am to 10.00am. Appointments for these times will take place at this practice. Further evening and weekend appointments may become available at another NHS setting nearby and we will make you aware of these when they become available.
Talk to the practice receptionist to book an appointment.
By March 2019 everyone in England will benefit from access to general practice appointments in the evenings and weekends at a time that is most convenient to them. This is part of a national drive to help improve access to general practice and get the best possible outcomes for patients. Further information is available at www.england.nhs.uk/gpaccess
