We’re excited to let you know about an upcoming change to the way online GP consultations are delivered in your area!
🔄 From 1st May 2025, the current LIVI service will no longer be available as a free option. In its place, a brand-new service called OLEA (OnLine Enhanced Access) will be launched – brought to you by the Northampton GP Enhanced Access Service, a team you may already know and trust.
🛑 Why the change?
LIVI has been funded and managed by GP Alliance, who also run the local extended access service. They’ve made the decision to end the LIVI contract in favour of introducing an in-house option. This new approach aims to:
✅ Improve efficiency
✅ Increase appointment availability
✅ Ensure you’re seen by local GPs who understand your community and referral systems
📍 What will OLEA offer?
✅ Video & telephone consultations
✅ Access to care even outside normal hours
✅ Appointments booked through your own GP practice
✅ Support from local healthcare professionals
