We participate in a local training initiative organised by NHS Northamptonshire and our surgery is closed on one Wednesday afternoon each month to allow our Doctors, Nurses and other staff time to review and discuss the latest medical treatments and developments and so provide you with a better service.
Details of our closing times will be posted at Reception and at the main entrance as appropriate.

If you need to see a doctor urgently when the practice is closed you can telephone 111. Please only use this service if you cannot wait until the practice reopens. They are unable to make a routine appointment for you to be seen at the practice or deal with any non urgent matters.
NHS 111 makes it easier for you access local health services. You will be assessed, given advice and directed to a local health service that can help you best, which might include an out of hours doctor, pharmacist, dentist or hospital emergency department.
The accident and emergency departments at Northampton and Kettering Hospitals provide care only for people with serious injury or illness and do not provide routine medical care.
If you have a life threatening emergency then please dial 999.
18:30 – 21:30 weekdays and 09:00 – 17:00 weekends.
There are now more bookable GP appointments in Northampton, making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
The Northampton GP Extended Access Service is an extension of your usual GP practice, it is not a walk-in-service, you need to make an appointment through your usual GP practice.
The service is located on the ground floor of Highfield Clinical Care Centre, Cliftonville Road, Northampton NN1 5BD.
